Terms and Conditions
By clicking “Sign In”, “Login Now”, “New User? Create an Account”, or similar, registering, accessing or using our services, you are agreeing to enter a legally binding contract with CareerEquity (even if you are using our Services on behalf of a company). You are agreeing to use CareerEquity at your own risk. If you do not agree to this contract (“Contract”, “Agreement” or “User Agreement”), do not click “Join Now” (or similar) and do not access or otherwise use any of our Services. If you wish to terminate this contract, at any time you can do so by closing your account and no longer accessing or using our Services.
The following definitions apply to this Agreement:
“CareerEquity Materials”: includes any content, materials, methodologies, implementation plans or other intellectual property used during the provision of Services
“CareerEquity Web Site” or “Site” (collectively the “CareerEquity Websites” or the “Sites”): any web site under CareerEquity’s control, whether partial or otherwise and includes such Site’s Content, CareerEquity Materials and Services (a applicable in each context)
“Content”: CareerEquity’s web pages, web forms, programming (including software code used on the Sites and in the Services, including (i) tools, kits, and object libraries, (ii) all third-party or open source code embedded therin, and (iii) any upgrades, updates, releases, fixes, enhancements ormodifications to the foregoing), graphics, images, design (color combinations and page layout), text, information, data, resumes stored in various commercial databases operated and licensed by CareerEquity, and the data submitted via the Sites by Users and other content made available through the Sites by CareerEquity
“Community Partner”: a User or entity which provides loans, equity investments, or development services, including a depository institution holding company, an insured depository institution, an insured credit union, a nonprofit organization, a State or local government agency, a quasi-governmental entity, and an investment company authorized to operate pursuant to the Small Business Investment Act of 1950 that is accessing CareerEquity or using any Services for any reason
“Employer”: a person or entity that is accessing CareerEquity to post a job or utilizing any Services for any reason related to the seeking of candidates for employment
“Employment Agency”: a User or entity which regularly, with our without compensation, seeks to procure employees for an employer or to procure for employees opportunities to work for an employer and includes an agent for such a person that is accessing CareerEquity or using any Services
“High School”: a User or entity from a secondary school that grants a diploma, as defined by the State and includes at least grade 12 that is accessing CareerEquity or utilizing any Services for any reason
“Job Seeker”: a User who is accessing CareerEquity to search for a job or in any other capacity except as an Employer, Employment Agency, Community Partner, Highschool, University, or Training Institute
“Services”: means any services provided by CareerEquity or its agents described herein and specified more fully in the Service Agreement
“Training Institute”: a User or entity who provides non-college school or education that is accessing CareerEquity or utilizing any Services for any reason
“University”: a User or entity in any State which admits regular students and provides graduate and professional education in addition to four-year and post-secondary education that is accessing CareerEquity or using any Services for any reason
“User”: any individual or entity that uses any aspect of CareerEquity
“You” or “you”: any person who (or the entity on behalf of whom you are acting) that is agreeing to these Terms and Conditions
Changes
We may modify this Contract, our Privacy Policy and our Cookies Policy periodically. Notice of any material changes made will be provided through our Services, or by other means to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. Changes cannot be retroactive. If you object to any changes, you may close your account. Your continued use of our Services after we publish or send a notification about our changes to these terms means you are consenting to the updated terms as of their effective date.
No Warranties.
THIS SECTION WILL APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. CAREEREQUITY PROVIDES THE SERVICES ON AN AS IS BASIS AND GRANTS NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE WITH RESPECT TO THE SERVICES OR THE SITE (INCLUDING ALL INFORMATION CONTAINED THEREIN), INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. CAREEREQUITY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED, ALWAYS AVAILABLE, ERROR-FREE OR WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS IN THE SERVICES WILL BE CORRECTED. CAREEREQUITY DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR, AND NO WARRANTY IS MADE WITH RESPECT TO, THE CONNECTIVITY AND AVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICES.
Service Eligibility
The Services are not for use by anyone under the age of 16.
To use the Services, you agree that: (1) you must be the minimum age (described below) or older; (2) you will only have one CareerEquity account, which must be in your real name; and (3) you are not already restricted by CareerEquity from using the Services. Creating an account with false information is a violation of our terms.
“Minimum Age” means 16 years old. However, if law requires that you must be older in order for CareerEquity to lawfully provide the Services to you without parental consent (including use of your personal data) then the Minimum age is such older age.
Payment
To the extent that you use a paid CareerEquity offering, you shall be charged as indicated on the Site. Subject to the limited cancellation rights described below, refunds (if any) are at the absolute discretion of CareerEquity and only in the form CareerEquity finds appropriate in its sole discretion. You acknowledge and agree that any credit card, bank account, and related billing and payment information that you provide to Indeed may be shared by CareerEquity with companies who work on CareerEquity’s behalf, such as payment processors.
Security
CareerEquity uses reasonable security measures to help protect your personal data. CareerEquity intends to make your experience as secure as possible by protecting your personal data covered by this policy against loss, misuse, alteration, or unauthorized access. We perform regular vulnerability assessments of our systems and network to help protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission or method of electronic storage of information via the Internet can be 100% secure. For example, emails or other messages sent via your web browser, or resumes shared with employers may not be encrypted by the recipient. Where the security of your information is beyond our control, we cannot guarantee the privacy of such information.
